Iím glad they seem to have some kind of vision this time around and not wasting their resources on bull poo poo like campaigns or a battle royale.

Bot lobbies might be pretty cool, thatís a neat idea. Not really excited for 128 player servers though. That has the possibility to be a complete meat grinder.

Specialists on paper seem kinda cool but at the end of the day the best ones are probably just going to be the ones with mobility. Like of the announced ones so far the only 2 that seem worth playing are grappling hook and wing suit. Maybe 1 of the medic ones per squad, but the others seem hopelessly outclassed by mobility.

I donít like the idea of specialists at all, in any game, but if theyíre set to be in hopefully it will be like in Siege where everybody is essentially the same aside from their little situation-specific gadgets. Admittedly comparing BF and Siege is apples and oranges, but still.

Call of Duty was on a specialist kick for a handful of games, and every one of them was poorer for it.

I don't really care as long as the cosmetics don't affect gameplay or get too outlandish a la Warzone. I can't tell non-wook teammates apart at a glance anyway, nor do I need to.

Thatís why Iím pumped for a new BF (and Halo), Warzone is very stale.

I can tear down BF1 pretty hard, but it was good overall. My main gripes were overdoing the animations and having spawn-in vehicles as well as an over-emphasis on automatic weapons.

Though this stuff doesnít seem that important when it was followed up by the hands down worst entry in the series.

The thing about semi auto, non-sniper rifles in BF is that you have to keep the recoil fairly low because theyíll either be too anemic at long distance to make a difference or get poo poo on at medium/close range by full auto fire.

The M1907 SL in BF1 was perfectly balanced to this.

E: I remember hearing some of my friends bounce off of BF1 because of how odd the guns were. I kind of understand that even if I don't agree. I'm a gun nerd, and I'd never heard of the vast majority of them. I had to look up the M1907 just to make this post; I wouldn't have remembered what it was called in a million years. The weird names and the variants were hard as hell to keep straight.

Tarkov has extreme netcode issues. Itís arguably that gameís biggest fuckup, and Battlestate just wants to add another dozen AK variants rather than addressing that. Assuming theyíre even capable of it.
