Is spelling an inherently classist competition due to how cut off reading and writing was from the impoverished for so long? Is the system of sponsorship for these kids propping up a hideous private alternative to glorious state-sponsored spelling competitions? I dunno, this is mainly a joke thread, but it's fun to watch kids fight through French or whatever. Semifinals at noon today.
