Eventually, I came through one of those events where you're asked a question and a wrong answer can cause you to fail the event. For what it's worth, I believe the only unique missables are the Lil Cactus Diary entries for the feature unlock quests (orchard, pets, smithing, etc.) that stay unlocked on New Game+.

It's super nice because it means if you decide you want to try out a different weapon you're not stuck without fancy moves for too long.
