I also liked Vee upbraiding Luz for leaving what Vee considered to be something like paradise. I suspect that Luz/Vee is more popular and gets better grades that Luz because she wanted to be the best "Luz" she kind to repay Camilla's unknowing kindness It was the best of all possible outcomes for V in that her first experience on Earth was going to "how to be a normal human" class.
