They were not someone who said Donald was bad. Pretty sure they have him as literally the best player in the league.

And that is some weird projection about that tweet.

It's just saying the online dude had a good rep against Aaron Donald

It’s not a good rep if you get driven right back into your QB lol

If you're solo blocking him like in that your QB can hopefully sidestep away from where he's being led and get the ball off.

You aren't just going to like completely stonewall Donald like that.

Justin Fields is making the bears second team offense look good. Like he has random camp body dudes looking like NFL players.

It's just Dalton has also had a good Camp.

We'll see once the pre-season games start.

I mean, that's what they've been saying all along. That Andy was gonna start the season. and they'd prefer it if the team/Andy is good enough to keep Fields on the Bench all year.

Not even Justin Herbert started game 1. It's your QB's rookie year, and none of the teams with new QB's have amazing rosters that are expected to compete for a SB. The only thing that matters is getting them ready to be a starting QB and stay healthy for all 5 of 'em, little else matters.

yeah, the Bears are a team that is trying to make the playoffs again and win games. With a relatively old defense. If Andy Dalton isn't losing you games and moving the ball and putting up points. Even if he's not spectacular the Bears should be a pretty good team.

Considering what they had at QB last year and still went 8--8 or whatever.

If it were up to me, I'd take the gamble on upside and give Fields all first team reps. But Coaches are conservative as poo poo, and a veteran QB is like catnip to them. The Rookie has to completely dominate the Vet to start, ala Russ and Flynn.

Hence, We'll see once Pre-Season starts.

I really want to know what the Texans organization thinks lowballing for Watson is.

Probably literally any offer they receive is going to be lowball for Watson's talent.

Like Watson is a young top 5ish QB in the league.

Moral implications aside, because lmao at anyone caring about the moral side of this in the NFL front offices, practically you worst case might have to eat a year suspension of your QB at the absolute most. And even then he's worth more than you could probably trade.

Top 5-6 QB's don't ever hit the trade market.

What if there is substantive evidence of the stuff he did and the criminal complaints go to trial?

If a criminal complaint gets even remotely close to trial, or even an indictment. A Checkbook opens, and the victims suddenly decide not to cooperate. Has been my general assumption for these things.

Too much money involved for him to be going to jail.

I'm not saying It'd be behind closed doors. It might be public. He might have to do some other stuff.

But uhhh I would be willing to bet an irresponsible bit of money that Deshaun Watson does not go to jail over this.

More than likely most of the victims don't have near enough evidence for criminal charges to be brought against him. Civil yes, criminal less likely. Just have to address those.

And honestly he does. lets say he pays them all like a million dollars. Deshaun is going to be a 27-30 million dollar player a year throughout his career, and it's uh better than going to jail.

I thought we had moved into, “Let’s see what a grand jury decides” territory regarding possible criminal charges.

They are the key witnesses. Without their testimony the state's case would be weak as all hell. Anyone can get indicted. that's the easy part, Grand Jury's always give the result the prosecutors want whether it's to indict or avoid indictment for political reasons.

The civil trial is likely to be pretty rough. He's admitted to being associated with his accusers and was caught deleting messages. The big thing I've taken away from all the domestic and sexual abuse allegations of the last few years is that it's really hard to predict which ones are going to be a prolonged national level narrative.

I'd expect it to flare up again either during the civil trial or whenever it looks like he's going to play, whichever comes first.

Yeah the civil trial is going to be rough for him(if it doesn't all get settled) and whoever trades for him will publicly be torched online and in the local media for it. But also what are people gonna do? Not watch football lmao.

The general rule is just bear it. And work on the player and team PR and showing how he's learned from all this and is changing over the next 3 years or whatever.
