drat, 41 year old is way too young to die in an "accident".  Speaking of WKUK, does anyone have a clip of a live performance where they pitted the audience against eachother with a war speech? It was far the funniest sketch I've seen, and I never found it again and I don't know what to search for. I was scrolling through the WKUK subreddit yesterday, for only the second time ever, just to kill time before a party because WKUK is funny and awesome. This is absolutely loving terrible news, and I want to watch the Abe Lincoln sketch to make myself feel better but I know it will have the exact opposite effect now. Cross postin' from TVIV, for anyone who's slept on WKUK's recent streaming stuff: This is so wildly tragic. WKUK started streaming towards the beginning of lockdown, with the goal of funding an animated movie called Mars. Fast forward a year and they're doing near-daily shows, with differing hosts. Trevor did a show every Friday night with Zack, and all five of em' did one called 'Self Suck Saturday'. Energy was chaotic, funny, kind of dumb, but remarkably kind. One of the members, Zack had been away in Bulgaria shooting a film for the past six months or so, and had just came back last night. They did their first show with him back, kicking off a 'second season' of it, signing off to do a bigger "hey everyone's back together" tonight. But apparently sometime within a couple hours of ending the stream last night he died. They built up a community, had a bunch of momentum and good will towards their work, and... now it's probably done for. Positive the other members will finish the movie they were making, but all that energy will be a lot different. Less a triumphant victory of crowdfunding with them all enjoying the spoils, now a memorial. RIP you funny, weird, dude. It's very strange having seen someone within hours of them passing away unexpectedly, even if virtually. They haven't said what the cause of death was, just: "accident". But he had been bragging about setting up a still to make Moonshine a lot in recent months. Here's hoping he at least went out in some freak home-made moonshine disaster vs. tripping down the stairs.

I watched his last stream and he seemed really happy. Zach just got back from working on a film in Bulgaria and all was well. The stream ended at around 10pm. This feels super jarring. Rest in peace local sexpot.

This loving sucks. WKUK was off the wall in a good way and I was stoked that they came back together for quarantine, it felt like it had been long enough and they could approach things with some freshness. Plus I thought he was kinda cute.

Saw the headline last night, took me a bit for the words to even make sense. Watched all of wkuk tons of times, loved Trevor's songs, Civil War on Drugs, and had watched a lot of the twitch streams during lockdown. Was really looking forward to the comedy central show, the couple eps i saw were really funny. Seemed like a really good, kind person. Probably wouldn't tell you to gently caress off if you ran into him at a bar. poo poo sucks, feel terrible for his family. RIP

I like this video because they talk about one show they did in Philadelphia where, during the Lincoln skit, Trevor jumped up out of the audience, leapt onto the (tall) stage, climbed the PA speakers, and jumped off of them onto the upper balcony. I was there for that. I have it on crappy phone video somewhere. The guys hung around chatting with audience members for a while afterward.
