I mean, I'm going to worry that every Jets QB is going to be a bust no matter what (and Wilson might be!). But Wilson is also taking literally every first team rep against a defensive line that might be one of the better units in the NFL, so I'm not going to expect him to look like a good starter before he even takes a preseason snap. Now that the offense is installed, we'll see how he improves (or not) in the coming weeks.

I was going to say basically the same thing as APH which is that I imagine that, absent obviously catastrophic play, Fields is going to get the benefit of the doubt from NFL media types because they think it was unfair that he fell to 11 overall. People seem to be generally in agreement that Lance was erratic outside of his (very pretty) deep touchdown pass.

I'm kind of happy that Sherwood and Hamsah are going to be playing a lot, to be honest. If one of those guys turns out to be a solid starter it would be a nice pull from the later rounds. I have mentally prepared myself for the defense to be catastrophic beyond the defensive line, though. Saleh said "god willing" Moore and AVT would be available Week 1, but he said it through a smile and seemed relatively unconcerned about their availability. Sounded like both would be practicing this week, so fingers crossed.
