Haven't read the whole thread yet, what a response! I'm getting a Covid test at the Mara river, here to watch the great migration. Haven't had Internet for a couple days. So here's the best part..... There was nothing wrong with the car, I'm just a dummy. The 4x4 shifter had H-N-L options. The ones I'm familiar with... I thought that H meant 4x4 high and N meant the ordinary transmission. N means there's no linkage at all. Why would I need that in the 4x4 shifter? Maybe something to do with wheel lock. When I got to the mechanic he explained how I was an idiot and I tipped him for it. Once I figure out how to post pictures on the Awful app, I'll post some good ones.

Here are some phone pics. The camera has good ones. Removing 2 of the 6 seats for extra space  The edge of the Ngorogoro crater. Ngorogoro is a caldera which means the remains of an exploded volcano. This one exploded some 2-3 million years ago and left behind a 100 square mile valley that is surrrounded on all sides by 2000 feet of crater walls. It's a perfect little ecosystem that is an incredible little ecosystem. Real gourmet stuff.  Alternate view of the campsite.  The stupid shifter that caused this whole mess.  This is Lobo campsite, hours north of Ngorogoro inside Serengeti. Very remote.  Panoramic of Lobo campsite.  Made it to an airstrip near Mara river. Getting a covid test so we can fly in a couple days. Waiting at the gift shop. Here are some bones. The pacman one is an elephant, also hippo and buffalo.
