So, OK. I seem to have fallen into doing Virtual Assistant sort of work for at least 2 separate clients. Because trying to track time with any precision on a Google Spreadsheet is annoying, I'm thinking it might be a good idea to get time tracking software. Problem is, there are so many different packages at so many, many different price points that I'm getting a touch confused. So I figured I would ask freelancer goons what they use. My technical specs: 1. Primary work computer is a Windows 10 laptop. 2. I also use a Samsung smartphone running Android 9. Ideally, I just want a lightweight bit of software that: 1. Tracks time by client; 2. Tracks time by project - project A for a client might bill at rate X, B at rate Y, that sort of thing. 3. I push button, it starts tracking. I push button again, it stops tracking. Free or cheap is good, prefer one time cost over subscription. Additional features aren't just unneeded, they sort of intimidate me.

toggl track does basically everything you are looking for, I think, and it's free
