yesterday i played like 22 games in guilty gear strive and only won a single one. i was very sad. today i played another 20 games and won 11!! i am much happier!! i also beat all the 4-star difficulty training missions and am now PLATINUM RANK which means nothing but feels nice anyway.

Help Im Alive posted:Did the risk of rain likers play them with friends because I tried both single player and couldn't get into them yes, and that certainly does help it get over the hump of "why am i even playing this game genre that hates me so much" how many other multiplayer roguelikes are there anyway? does something like deeprock galactic count?

Help Im Alive posted:I'm having fun with my first game of stellaris even though I'm probably making a lot of mistakes but what's with these guys looks like a Fallen Empire. the "forerunners" name is a clue to that also. they're a civilization that was extreme in power a long time in the past, had a downfall or collapse, and now are dormant. they still have their crazy technology level, but they have their own goals and usually you can just avoid them.

so far Kena is very good, extremely pretty, and fun to explore. the combat is pretty simple and satisfying but i had to turn the difficulty down to Story Mode because jesus christ i do not need to be dying in 3 hits in my somber pixar zelda game

Play posted:not to be all git gud, but in case anyone else is going to play I put the difficulty on the highest available setting (there's one higher setting you only get after finishing the game) which I found to be just about perfect. The main reason is because the smaller enemies can be stun locked just by hitting them with basic attacks, so they are easy af to mop up. Several types of monster falls into that category. i would probably also have an easier time of it if i could get the hang of parrying, but i couldn't get the timing down. i'd just get smacked, or eat through all my shield.
