Warbringers: Azshara, at least, is legitimately good, though obviously the art, music, and acting is doing as much heavy lifting as the writing. A lot of the animated shorts released leading up to the expansions were excellent and good demonstrations on how WoW's story and characters could be compelling. And then the writers for the in-game stuff completely squandered them again and again.
