i wouldn't get too erect over the SEC investigation, as the SEC doesn't really send people to jail. even madoff was an FBI thing, not the SEC.

in an ideal world the SEC dredges up a pattern of fraud and refers the entire thing to the FBI for criminal prosecution, but that's multiple steps away.
