How insane is it that I don't agree with this? I know Kenny/Okada is the thing but it also thinks its time has faded in being THE draw as AEW and wrestling itself has created more crossover amongst western stars than thinking Omega/Okada would be the biggest match in AEW? It requires a bit more knowledge than AEW's growing fanbase knows, and if people don't even know the words to Kaze ni Nare how would they know just how massive Omega/Okada 5 would be as in to be the biggest match in AEW history?

Omega/Danielson is more immediately bigger but lets assume the forbidden door is blown open... Omega/Okada is one, but Omega/Ibushi... that's the ticket.

Spoilers: this is the beginning of the feud not the end and the chances of this match ending with a definitive statement of anything is zero. Now personal opinion but I think they shouldn't have booked this match yet and let it stew with Omega clearly fearing how much he knows Bryan would kill him, but the match is booked so we're going with it. There will be bullshit because there has to be.

Literally the only wrong decision on Omega/Danielson is Omega winning clean as it cuts everyone off at the knees. Every other possible outcome leads somewhere, though the second worst one would be Danielson winning clean because then you diminish your title - before we get into But Omega Lost to Christian And Title is Fine, yeah he got killswitched onto a chair from hubris not clean.

You can have draws, you can have a dusty finish, you can go big brain and have the double of Omega submitting but no ref into Omega hitting the OWA with no ref so both have visual victories over the other in the same match. The only answer is the chance of this being a clean as a sheet just a match between the two is zero as Omega just straight up becoming The Best Bout Machine on a whim doesnt fit his storyline of where he is currently - he is a cowardly heel who happens to be the best wrestler in the world.

I really don't like the match because while there are tonnes of directions to go in this does feel like "how we going to book our way out of this one Scoob" which is not a feeling i've had with AEW before. The fans were primed and bubbling let them keep going and keep begging for this match. You got a stew going.

so they're booking Jericho/Hager v Sky/Page and well it seems like a nothing match but listening to Bryan Alvarez he made the note that Sky/Page need the win, they've gone nowhere, and Jericho/Hager don't but they can't work out a way to make it work

Britt should keep the belt because its not the time for her to drop it and her position means dropping it to anyone would feel like a shocking swerve and very much undercooked. AEW has been extremely good in dropping belts when it felt right with the exception of Brodie Lee who we all found out with the reasoning after the fact.
