 Someone think of a tagline for the thread... World Series of Poker 2021: September 30th - November 22nd What is it? The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is the biggest and most "prestious" tournament series in Poker. Begun in 1970 as a series of Cash Games by Benny Binion at the Horseshoe Casino, (it took on its freezeout structure the next year), it has grown into a series of 40+ events spanning over the period of 2 months. While it has expanded with its European tournament series, The main World Series of Poker tournaments are normally held in Las Vegas during the summer. Obviously with COVID-19 the events last year were held online, this year they've decided there will be live events starting October 1st (there were also 33 tournaments played online but that ended on Sept 12th). Where is it being held? Rio Hotel and Casino. This is the last year of the contract between the WSOP and the Rio Hotel and Casino and there are rumors it may move to Bally's next year. I have a vacation planned at the end of October so if I do end up going it'll probably be at the end of the series in November.

Never been to WSOP before. It’s on my bucket list, but this year it’s definitely not in the cards for me. Hope to see some goons or formers goons take down a few bracelets.

Glad to see that this is starting back up. I went out to the WSOP twice, and while I never made much money there (except at the cheapo tournaments at like the Orleans), it was a fantastic experience-- kind of like seeing the Superbowl, except nobody's stopping you from getting out on the field yourself.

I am flying out tomorrow and will be playing multiple events. The first event is the event #8 the NLHE deepstack. I might play event #13 NLHE freezeout. I will also play the millionaire maker I think that’s event 17 but there is 2 starting days a 17a and a 17b and I’ll probably start the second day so I can have a day of rest. That’s all I have for now I’m sure I will play more as the series progresses snd I get drunker. We are staying in Vegas for 2 months.

Forgot to add I sat at the same table as Mark Seif and got to talk to him about OJ. Which was surreal. I bluffed him out of a pot when I checked shoved on the river. Yes! So I made the money in the millionaire maker and eeked out a small profit. I started getting a little worn down and actually feeling a little sick. So I took a few days off to get my body right and I feel a million times better. I’m gonna play in event #39 PLO 8 handed that starts. tomorrow. If that doesn’t go well I might jump into the RAZZ event that starts on the 21st. I have always wanted to play on a RAZZ tourney.

I am out of the omaha 8 or better event. poo poo was wild and I was in way over my head. There is a small chance I might play in this 10k HORSE I have a couple of friends willing to buy my action so I am currently debating if I should. If I chicken out and don't enter that I am for sure playing RAZZ tomorrow. If only they had a badugi event I could play in.

I cashed event 4 and event 8, made it to day two on 8 but lost two huge pots where I was 75%+ to win. Still fun to cash my first two WSOP events ever. I'm probably going to play the colossus this weekend.

I have done almost every drug you can think of and gambled for thousands of dollars, almost been murdered a few times and getting knocked out of a $500 wsop tourney was the most insane rush in my life. If you see a guy in black wrestling shirt at one of your tables in the colossus it’s probably me but I’ll never admit it in person. I never fold so don’t try to bluff me.

I can't imagine being so cucked that I would capitulate to mandatory vaccines or mask requirements to attend an event in current year. As if either of those things are meaningful in any way. On the other hand, I would love to enter a poker tournament with that many people that completely lack critical thinking skills. (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)
