Spent a solid chunk yesterday watching football and working on completing my UCS Millennium Falcon build![]() I'd been putting it off for months but my wife got me a coffee table/display case for our anniversary, so it's time. Also nice just unplugging for a day while watching football ![]() Here's Olive for scale. ![]() Terrifying Effigies posted:Had the same idea, though up in Dolly Sods. Yep! I bought it as a "Congrats for finishing your marathon and the training it entails!" reward for myself three years ago. But buying a house and a bunch of life events got in the way of me finally starting it till this year. Also hell yeah at helping turtles cross the road. I did that once with a snapping turtle on my way home from school in New England. The turtle was huge and just slowly making it's way across a rural road. He snapped at me but only after I put him down and was safely away.

She went for a cat scan 6 weeks ago to see how the disease had spread and to give her some idea of how long she had left and got the results yesterday. Glad to hear it friend. Hope the good news continues. Also not to ruin the vibe of this thread, but I think I may have bedbugs

Last year, I got 7 kids. drat, I need to start doing this as I've had like ten kids total hit my house tonight. It’s really interesting to hear their perspectives on (mostly) American media and music. We went for tons of walks and they got a special treat of getting to share a turkey cheeseburger and sweet potato fries, and when my wife got home after spending the day with friends, we all curled up on the couch and snuggled up while watching the Book of Boba Fett. Aside from how it was like 10 degrees all day, I couldn’t have asked for a better Saturday. Some very good boys Spent the day watching football with my friends yesterday. One of them is a Bengal's fan who has known nothing but misery and "oh god my team is terrible", so it's been really fun these past few weeks watching him be all happy that his team is playing incredibly well and exceeding all expectations.

I'm like “yes how did you know!?!?” her: “because we’re both retarded!!!” anyway I'm taking her out for drinks on Wednesday. McNally queue up the sixer because you know I had to tell it exactly how it went down. Should be a fun time. Wish me luck. bulletsponge13 posted:❤️❤️❤️

After quitting my toxic dead end job in December, and spending the last few months getting IT certs so I could change careers, I received a great job offer today. Team seems great and we clicked really well during interviews, I'm very happy right now. Big shout out to my wife for telling me to quit and get as far away from that job as possible, and supporting us while I did my unemployed thing.

Boss called me while I'm vacation. He's solid so I figured at most it'd be a "hey I'm really sorry to bug you but we have an emergency with XYZ, any ideas?" call. Nope, just wanted to let me know I'm being promoted effective Jan 1st since he's gonna be out when I get back next week and the news just came in. I'm officially a network engineer now
