This is the thread for posters in ADTRW to offer the moderation staff of this subforum feedback on how things are going. Currently, that consists of solely me, Julias. It is also where posters can ask general questions and make requests. I would appreciate it if shitposting could be kept to a minimum in this thread. We have a general chat thread for that sort of posting. Also be sure to check out the ADTRW Rules before asking any questions which may already be answered there.

Hi Julians, I heard you need a new mod and I'd like to throw my hat into the ring. First some background. My favorite animes are Kill La Kill and Maid Dragon and my favorite scenes are the yabai ones. I regularly post the weirdest porn to twitter under my SA username. As far as moderation strategy goes, I aim to completely lose my poo poo at the mildest provocations, or sometimes without needing any at all, and any punishments I hand out will likely be arbitrary and unconscionable. Let me know when I start.

Yo Julias, any chance you can go ahead and give your blessing on this post in the panels thread so I can delete all the weird little notes I made at the bottom out of fear that you'd probate me again if I didn't explain why there are 6 of them? In my defense, they're all actually PANELS this time and not pages (well the bottom two are whole-page panels but I think that passes), and the amount of text on them is extremely minimal... but those notes detract from the main post content like a motherfucker and I really need to remove them, but I'm still paranoid about doing that until after you give your blessing on it. Also it's probably best if you give said blessing either in THIS thread or over PMs, and not in the panels thread since doing it there is just gonna make the conversation even more about my weird paranoia instead of the even-weirder panels I posted. Uh sorry if I've got you feeling paranoid about posting in that thread, you're not supposed to be thinking overly hard about getting probed for posting a few panels or even a page or two, it's just we don't need the 7-8 page long dumps you did in the past. If it gets to be too much, I'll just tell you, I don't need to probe you or anything.

Yeah what the gently caress Julias? Let the people have a drat vtuber thread already! There's nothing stopping you or an IK from probing creepy posts on-sight for a day and queueing up another week or more on top of it, and need I remind you that you literally have a button to EDIT OTHER PEOPLES' POSTS and you don't use it nearly as often as you should. Literally ALL you have to do to stop people creepyposting is hit 'em with increasingly-long probes and delete their entire post contents; eventually the perps will run out of gas and stop. Threads like the old vtuber threads get littered with bad posts because you don't DELETE THE BAD POSTS. One bad post attracts more bad posts like it and makes the whole thread look bad, the same way leaving a piece of litter on the ground attracts more littering and makes a landscape look like a dumping ground. It's not enough to just probe the offenders, YOU HAVE TO CLEAN UP THE LITTER THEY LEAVE BEHIND TOO. If you don't delete the bad posts then they'll attract more and more bad posts like them, and then outside observers see that and think the whole thread is a creepfest. You get rid of the bad posts (and probe the people making them), you get rid of the problem. It's really quite simple! There is nothing whatsoever wrong or hard about turning a post into the Stalin disappearing man photo, and you and the rest of the mods on this site have never understood that hard enough. I. M. Endorph in the chat thread put forward what I feel is a decent compromiseEndorph posted:suggestion: what if we just make an anime youtuber thread that includes vtubers. and call it the anime youtuber thread. it not being entirely about vtubers would diminish some of the weirder posting and itd also absorb grouchio's posting about gigguk or whatever. sounds like a win/win. Putting vtuber stuff under a larger umbrella of related content might dilute some of the creepiness by not turning into a completely isolated community bubble where people feel comfortable to overshare about weird poo poo.
