i'm so excited history is repeating itself again already some google execs saw minority report and were like "ooh, member terminator? " and invented google glass on the assumption that people want a HUD for their daily life (they don't) now fb is going to do it again except instead of a sweet libertarian metaverse with dirtbikes and katanas like in snow crash they're probably going to go the whole second life / ready player one route its going to be amazing watching them double and triple down on a fad that already died twice
