Fries, if only because it's much easier to find a good fry than it is a good onion ring. Like, Fatburger makes some pretty good burgers, but their onion rings are so bad they verge on nauseating. Red Robin has mediocre burgers, but their tower of onion rings is top tier. Tough to find a place that has good rings and good burgers at the same time. Ring style is important to. The two main schools being the thin and crispy "hula-hoop" style, and then the much chunkier and crunchier thicc-ring.
