Most stories about the show have these kids as sheltered as humanly possible, to the point where if they saw a woman who wasn't in a potato sack on the street the parents would yell Nike and the kids were supposed to look away or cover their eyes until the parents said it was okay to look again. I think one of the sisters who was molested by Josh was even ostracized from the family for seeking out regular therapy about it.

From what I understand most Quiverfull are in poverty due to having a lot of kids, and it is the few at the top with all the money and power promising one day they can be just like them. I think they also got a new TLC show at some point? It didn't have Josh, but the rest of the Duggars gradually wormed their way back in.
