Only thing worse than Oregon is these announcers. They're blatantly wrong about how football rules work. Kind of satisfying to at least hear the rules guy chip in with, "No, that's the definition of that foul."

Grittybeard posted:So if that is correct...Iowa and Utah if chalk holds has potential for some batshittery one way or the other if Utah gets a little loose with the ball like they are tonight. I don't know how Iowa moves the ball of course but I don't know how they're 10-2 either so. We have no offense to speak of, but the defense will happily snatch the ball at every opportunity. 50/50 if the offense actually does anything with it.

Edna Mode posted:Just curious, what makes a pick play legal vs. an OPI? Not sure about college rules, but in high school rules the offense isn't allowed to impede the defenses path to the ball at any time between the snap and the pass being touched. Legitimate attempts to play the ball excepted. Most picks should be OPI, it's just a matter of if they get caught.

Well, that was dumb. Looks pretty clear that it went from the 21 to the 21 though.

Loved the DPI in real time, but in slow mo it looks like the receiver just fell down
