Wait, you couldn't revive Mox so he could walk out on his own power? I thought you could do that on those 'soldier is unconscious, evac them' missions as a rule...

Do you need revival protocol for that? You definitely don't get the option just from standing next to them.

They asked one of the Advent squad to hold the camera, that's why there's only two.

There are a few resistance orders which are insanely broken. Between the Eyes is fun, but it's nowhere near as broken as they can get. And considering how things go, I'm betting we'll see more than a few come up that will make Guava weep for how lucky Jade Star is.

Lol I've never taken a specialist on that mission, had no idea you could hack the door. I'd send the reaper in and just run like hell. (This has no real benefit as they lose even their special concealment)

I appreciate how they shuffle all of those between the resistance orders, continent bonuses, and... is there a third place to find them? Thought I remembered a third.

Anyway, it makes discovery a bit more interesting instead of just getting a good/bad RNG at the start.

It's too bad that the game forces detection when you pick up the prisoner, being able to do these fully stealthed would be a neat contrast to the pick-your-moment style of the other ones.

You can! That’s the other hack reward Jade didn’t pick. He just wanted to reduce scan times more than he wanted to get out with total silence.

I ran that exact mission, picked and succeeded at stealth opening, then was automatically detected when I hoisted up Mox.

That really is curious then. I wonder if its a scripting thing for the Mox mission then, because if the alarm goes off when you pick him up then what is the point of the hacking option to not set off the alarm?

It could be you can't be in concealment when you pick someone up, and there was a guy close enough to see Arbite when they came out of concealment?

Picking up a body is just coded tp break concealment. However.... there's nothing stopping you from reconcealing while carrying a body.

Actually I figure they got Mox to pose in his old Advent uniform for the poster, and since they rescued him he went along with it.

Knowing his history, I am fully expecting Jade to get the order that makes contacting a new region instantaneous and the order that pauses mission timers until the squad breaks concealment.

The resistance order that simply adds 2 turns to every timer works just as well for that last one in my experience.

Hey, do you guys need even more Jade Star and Guava Moment in your life? Well you're in luck. I am proud to bring you a Guava Moment classic feature, a smaller LP inside of the first LP!

Completely planned and done with total forethought, Guava gifted me Outer Wilds, a game he loves very much and is willing to lightly guide me through as I poke around space and probably die a lot. Hurray!

These are done live, on my stream, which can be found at https://www.twitch.tv/sa_Jadestar (self plug). We'll be doing these whenever Guava has the time for them. It's a fun little game thats about chilling in space, exploring a ton of stuff, and dying repeatedly. Thankfully Guava knows the game in and out and can help nudge me along as I don't know poo poo about it.

e: I'll see about getting these up on youtube too, fiddling with twitch export gadget at the moment.

The next guerilla operation pops up before I can make contact with the next region on the map and thus doesn't let me choose which dark event to counter. Really regret that as I get stuck with the event I wasn't really worried about. We get one of the first 'Sit Rep' missions and the lost clown car the hell out of the objective building.

And I misspell Khaless, but so does Guava, so it's okay. Klingon is a hard language.

Early XCOM strategic layer is "I'm sorry you wanted to scan something? Here's an alert to deal with first."
Late XCOM strategic layer is "I'm sorry you wanted to scan something? Here's a notification of something you set up finishing so you need to decide whether to get distracted."

Somewhere in the middle are times when you'll have an entire quiet month just scanning and wondering if something broke.
