Hey all,
There was a scene in the 2012 film Prometheus that I remember seeing in the theater, but anytime I ask someone about it, no one seems to remember it. Though, one of my friends said it brought back some kind of vague recollection for him. (I’m new here so I hope I’m posting in the right spot & no one gets pissed at me, if I do anything wrong, plz tell me & I’ll fix it). I remember a scene onboard the Prometheus in between leaving earth & arriving at LV-224, where Peter Weyland is shown onboard as having stowed away & he either talks to David or to vickers. I could be misremembering & this is could’ve occurred once landing on LV-223. I clearly remember this being before it’s revealed in the movie though. Another thing I remember that isn’t in the movie when I watch it is that after their discovery at the start of the movie, shaw & Holloway meet with Peter weyland who agrees to fund the expedition. I used to & still do watch lots of clips from movies before they come out on ign & I remembered one of weyland giving a speech like a ted talk & this one was on ign. But the others I remember seeing in the theater opening day & ive never seen those two scenes since. It can’t be a dream cuz while I don’t remember it as vividly now, I remembered them very clearly the first time I watched it on Blu-ray, shocked they weren’t there. Anyone else remember or am I crazy? Thanks

I remember those scenes but you might be misremembering them being in the movie. I also saw it opening day and I don’t think they were there. They were however released online as marketing

Is there a chance you somehow saw an early cut?

Oh you mean the scene where the actors say, "oh, do you think we're going to meet some kind of an... alien?" as they uncomfortably look directly at the camera for far too long and chuckle at the ridiculousness of that scenario?

There is a directors cut.

Chrs it’s entirely possible I may be remembering them from promotional videos & my memory may have combined that with watching the film. Is there anywhere these scenes exist? I haven’t been able to find them online or on the special features.
ClamdestineBoyster I got the directors cut also in an attempt to find these scenes again but no luck so far
Colonel cancer I don’t remember that unless it was something on the blooper reel or a deleted scene ive long since forgotten

I posted here about a line in Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull that I and a few other goons remember hearing opening weekend back in 2008 that was removed immediately thereafter and has never been heard again. The line is “In your dreams, kid.” when Indy snatches his fedora back from Mutt in the church at the end of the movie. It was a trending Internet thing for a hot minute last year and even became a Whang! video that features my post from here.

He said the line. I heard it with my own ears through the theater sound system, and you can’t convince me otherwise :colbert:

Just a thought. There’s definitely a Weyland flashback scene in Alien Covenant that was in the theatrical cut. Is that what you’re thinking of?
