Everything about Tesla just continues to get worse. Nobody elses seat motors prematurely fail needing a lock out. Nobody else is gambling on a self-driving system that is utterly inept and unsafe that they test in the real world. Nobody else is trying to re-invent the wheel like Telsa and Musk. Its hilariously sad.

This is crazy and it's so much more work than actually driving yourself under these conditions, because not only do you have to be ready not only for unexpected road situations - as always - you also have to be constantly ready to take control at a split second's notice when your own car does something completely irrational. It just introduces an entirely new class of insanely dangerous hazards. Roads and vehicles flat-out aren't built to be safe when drivers are this erratic. They're not built to forgive mistakes like this.

incredibly weird post, bro

haveblue is specifically referencing the behavior of Eliza, one of the earliest chatbots, which was intended to imitate the behavior of a therapist, and would take things the user said previously and format them into new questions in exactly that fashion.

I can see it. The real Indian team is incapacitated somehow and they recruit the imitators to fill their place in a match. They get obliterated but it's heartwarming.

I had honestly forgotten how rad the actual intro music to Zero Wing was.

Basically, every art competition from about now onwards will have a difficult-to-specify/enforce rule saying "no use of machine learning AI art tools in this contest", except for possibly a new, smaller category of art contests which are explicitly about creating art using those tools.

This is just an Ain't No Rule thing. Complaining that an artist used an AI to win a competition is like complaining that someone in a 10km race used a car. Did the rules of the race say it was a foot race? Then yeah, you have a legitimate complaint.
