TYFYS. I'm so glad I'm done and don't have to explain lovely policies to my airmen like my last flight chief got forced to do. "We're going back to how it used to be and that was fine" is a poo poo excuse

Turns out the new PT test is a copy/paste of the Army one, I'm so glad I got out when I did. What's next, rolling the Air Force back into the Army? Actually in this stupid timeline, I can see that being attempted, and who knows what happens to our embarrassing child the Space Force?

Former USAF here, served 4 years in the early 90s in Security Police (in the Law Enforcement specialization). Definitely wasn't the job I wanted, but that's what happens when you're young and dumb and go in straight out of high school on an open general contract. But, I got to go to England for 2 years and discovered the joys of beer, so it wasn't all bad. :v:

Same story. I got offered Electronic Intelligence, but I was young and stupid, thought I'd "go crazy behind a desk", and picked Security Forces. If I could go back and slapped the poo poo out of my 21 year old self, I would. Lakenheath was nice though.

ELINT? Sorry but yeah, you hosed that up. It happens. At least you didn't join the Army, like I almost did, so there's that.

Oh, I won't pretend I didn't gently caress that up. I was 21, and therefore, kinda a moron.

Leaving the civil service on the 29th.

I simply don't like the job anymore.

I hope I don't starve to death under a bridge somewhere.

I don't understand the point of changing the wing structure but only for overseas bases.

Also lol at cutting more civ staff and crying that we've cut too many A1 staff.

Cutting TS positions seems like a mixed bag. On one hand, there's definitely people that don't need them. On the other hand, when you do need them it's not easy to ramp up. Also seeing how war is on the brink, probably best to just do less stupid military parades to save money instead.

I'm glad the wing restructuring is canxed. That was a dumb loving idea.

Cutting TS is going to hurt a lot more than it helps. We already don't have enough, and our HHQ keeps telling us as much.
