some blogs are pretty good. there's no cruft, just text. some of the clients are really nice and you can easily customise stuff to suit you (eg big high contrast text if you have bad eyesight) every so often some genius techbro comes up with a great proposal for tracking users or adding blog paywalls (with cryptocurrency of course)... fortunately it seems like they just get ignored.
