treat posted:I found the mask in the library within like 5 or 6 background rotations walking to the right (like the 6th cubby in the upper part of the map). What's this book? is there a duplicator guaranteed to spawn in the library too, or is it just the mask? The mask is at far right, there's an Empty Tome at the far left.

Yeah it won't do much for you in the last ten minutes or thereabouts, but if you get it early enough it can put you so far ahead of the XP curve that it can be a real help getting your other weapons evolved before things get critical. Yeah, running through bats/mudmen at full pelt in the first few mins with one or two levels of garlic can put you in a very strong early position with exp, and you only really need 3 good solid weapons to win a run anyway, so eating a slot for garlic isn't bad for an average run.

Arrrthritis posted:here's hoping for that bone evolution. Yeah, Lightning feels like the safest bet. I can only assume Runetracer'll be paired with Wings or something terrible as upgrading it with a good accessory would make it even more broken than it already is.
