I'm not sure he knows what he'd get into with the whole Sebring Experience. I'm under the impression you can at least get decent hotels and such around Daytona, whereas Sebring sounds like it's in some time warp.

How's the 12h been? Tuned in to see Bamber take the lead, lose it after hitting a GT then getting it back in the space of 15 minutes.

The ACO/FIA simply doesn't think it needs them anymore. As soon as there's another "brand" or two I imagine Glickenhaus might be in for a nasty shock too.

in MotoGP news, one of the reasons they had to get the Indonesia race completed on the Sunday was that freight had to get from there to Argentina for the round this weekend. Well... https://twitter.com/matoxley/status/1509534825438457860 https://twitter.com/denkmit/status/1509512868047339532 https://twitter.com/denkmit/status/1509581831817027592 so all the Friday practice sessions are canceled, two practice sessions on Saturday instead. Let's hope everything arrives.

The BTCC returns today. They've introduced hybrid power and used it to replace success ballast, so different drivers get different amounts of push to pass. One of the big storylines for this year will be if Sutton can drag the Fords back in to serious contention

The other big story is Plato's team was stupid enough to take on F1 sponsor hall of famers Rich Energy as their main sponsor. It will be nice to have the Sunday afternoon soundtrack of an entire god drat day of racing on though.

Pablo Bluth posted:The BTCC returns today. They've introduced hybrid power and used it to replace success ballast, so different drivers get different amounts of push to pass. This is such a silly idea. Because it's not even quite what you describe. For everyone else, if you win a race, you can't use push to pass at all on 10 laps of the next race if the next race is more than 17 laps. Whether it's 18 or 30. And a sliding scale of that bullshit for the top...5?10? Some number. But it's going to be massively different at Thruxton compared to say, Brands.

And yes, that was a very off-pace GT300 car that probably should’ve pulled in to the pits that lap. Thank god for the safety cell, that definitely kept it from being a worse accident than it was. Also lucky nothing bad went into the crowd.

Next weekend is the Bathurst 12 hour which is in a different spot this year due to restrictions over the summer. Because there is another gt race happening in France on the same weekend craft bamboo racing is the only international team coming along. The remainder of the field is locals and while Bathurst isn’t a big drive for me I’m kinda glad I didn’t get tickets this year. As we are heading into winter here and their desire to finish at dusk the race starts at 5:15 local time giving them close to 2 hours of dark running early in the day.

12 hour quali is happening now. No radio lemans boys this year which makes sense with the scaled back nature. Few cars having issues already but hopefully they end up with the full field racing tomorrow.
