In the campaign I just finished I had Katarina hovering around Hellpit for most of the game, using the chaos rift nearby to complete the campaign - As Hellpit is the region capital she got had the traits removed as expected but subsequently did nothing else while Boris, Kostaltyn and a super beefed up Boyar ( who defended my North Eastern provinces from several Norse, Nurgle, Khorne and Skaven stacks ) did all the heavy lifting in keeping Kislev safe. By the time I collected the 4th soul Katarina had no time to remove negative traits before having to head off to the Forge of Souls to block Kugath and Nakari. Played just over 20 turns of Grom last night. Started by bullying Quenelles, forgot that raiding camp took no movement and I could have been recruiting globally recruiting gobbos in one turn, Parravon weren't game to send down their stack though. Orion wardecced Parravon in short order while the Faye Enchantress decided to have a go at me ( love me her casualty replenishment bonus ). While I was bullying one of her minors all of the Wood Elves wardecced me and Orion bumrushed Massif Orcall so I had to deal with that, but now Ikit is my friend terrorising Faye. Called a Waaagh on Parravon, razed it in short order and now it's time to take my stack of buff gobbos and my waaagh army to raze Faye's capital. Maybe because I started comparatively passive by sacking Quenelles and not building my army for a few turns but the AI weren't too shy in declaring war and sending armies my way. I'll miss not having Skarsnik nearby for an early confed though

So I think it's been pretty much established that if you want a more aggressive AI, play at Normal campaign difficulty ( GBoG in his You should try Kemmler video also mentioned that the AI that in Campaign hard and above the AI plays super conservatively but be aggressive at Normal ). I'm 79 odd turns in my Ikit campaign and after taking over Tilea, Estalia, The Vaults, Carcasonne and the River Brienne I'm getting my poo poo in the west pushed in by armies from the Donut ( Alistar repping Eataine, Allarielle with a couple stacks and the Batman from Yvresse ) and Durthu is bullying the Vaults with help from Balthasar Gelt.

I managed to fight off the helfs and burn down the forest, I'm down to 94 rivals so there's definitely been some action on the map. Queek, Throt and Skrolk are still hanging on but Tretch and Snikch are out. Franz doesn't seemed interested in bailing out Gelt and Louen is struggling with Kemmler so once I have a couple of stacks free it's time to pay the donut a visit. I have no idea what's going on either in the West or East but Nkari got pasted so I'm guessing the Elves just got bored. The Southlands thunderdome doesn't seem to have a clear victor but I don't think I need to dive in there.
