I honestly don't have a developed opinion. The vote just seemed awkward to me. I haven't been following this too closely given that it's day 1. I personally haven't felt that any of the pushes are good.

Nep's this is a serious vote on grandi is probably the most awkward thing I've seen in passing, but actually haven't followed up on that. I'll give it a look here in a few.

The jump to taste is the only strange thing. The pivot from grandi is curious, but I dont think either candidate is a great choice.

Maer seems like this always and not even really scummy imo.

Four docs (3 town 1 scum, with the assumption that if all docs are openly claiming then the scum one will claim town doc with the other 3) acting in concert can do two vidges N1. Except they can't because scum will block one of the docs to prevent one of the vidges, use their NK to kill another doc, and then there are 3 docs on day 2. They can, at best, coordinate all 3 on one player for one vidge on N2 (all 3 needed to keep the vidge from being prevented by roleblocker). Except the scum doc can just not actually participate in it, roleblocker stops the vidge, scum NK another doc. We start Day 3 with two docs, one scum one town. There have been two lunches and one vidge at this point, but the vidge was on a VT because scum would preferentially roleblock the vidge on scum. So out of 6 other VTs and 2 scum, we're down to the lunches rather than the vidges to try to hit scum. Assuming the worst we have 4 VTs + town doc vs. 2 scum + scum doc, and a 50/50 call on which doc to lunch to hit scum. If we're wrong, we lose.

This is of course assuming that Day 1, the docs actually coordinate to hit scum on one of the vidges. If the roleblocker lets both vidges through, we are down two VTs plus the lunch result. If the Day 2 coordinated vidge is also on town, worst case we've already lost because 2 mislunches + 3 vidges on town + 2 NKs = 7 dead town, leaving 3 town and 3 scum.

Unless I'm wrong here, the scum roleblocker makes Bif's plan a very high-risk one.

A lot of theory and speculation. Not the best look.

Between being sure of it, then being unsure of it but wanting it to be true so pushing through never showing my doubt.

Like, my feelings make no sense, I've led misexecutions on town before, especially day 1. I've been on the block d1 and swerved the execution to another town target more times than I can count, but this has really sapped my investment.
I'm here, I am reading, but I am in a weird headspace.
I hope to snap out of it eventually, but for at least the short term I will be more snipey and topical than usual. If this puts me on the block, it is what it is, but I thought transparency was the right way to play this.

The push on maer, the deflection onto other players for the defense of Maer is weird. All of our reads and takes seem to be in direct opposition. Also seems more concerned with her own "towniness" and player's perceptions of her "town behavior", definitely a weird flex for someone invested in actually finding scum instead of just labeling anyone who didn't agree with you, or found problems with you,as scum.

My thoughts on the current thread status are as such: Bif and Circl were both scum candidates up for lunch and the frustrated townie bit was probably a pass to keep a lurking scum doctor around in the hope the scum could use the double doc to make up some deaths if one of them were going to go regardless.
