God, I forgot Andy Hallett had died back in 2009. I didn't know he was only 33 when he passed, and was only in his 20s playing Lorne. Something about the way he played Lorne has him read as an old queen like Cabaret's Emcee, which is some fantastic acting.

And I was absolutely floored to learn he died of a tooth infection, that got into his bloodstream, and.... death. Made me think of dental issues a whole new way from that moment on.

I'm a heart patient, and one of the things the cardiologist always asks about is whether I'm staying up to date with dentist appointments. Tooth infections turn into Real Bad poo poo very, very quickly. Do your checkups, folks.

Riley getting addicted to getting sucked off by and murdering vampire sex workers because he developed an inferiority complex over Dracula is easily the most fail exit of anyone in the show, peak loser behaviour

Riley being a pathetic manbaby was one thing, but then Xander goes and makes Buffy feel like it's her fault. ![]()

it would have been better to expand on the idea that he had memories and skills from the one Halloween episode. having some skills besides repairing the summers house and leaving women at the alter (and then gets mad at her for moving on) would have maybe made him not suck so much.

Leaving Anya at the altar makes perfect sense for a guy who comes from an abusive household and is scared to subject another person to the same, but the show could have explained it better.

Would've made complete sense if Anya left because lmao xander

I mean, leaving someone at the altar that way can be rationalized, like Oasx pointed out. I get the feeling Xander's POV about this was supposed to be made very clear and logical to the audience once you listened to Anya and his song in One More With Feeling, but it just wasn't clear enough. I didn't like the fact that he made her feel like poo poo about moving on and then proceeds to derail that in season seven by getting together again. I get it, you fear for your lives, no regrets, you want to be with who you love, yaddayadda. But it still seems needlessly complicated romantically and cruel to do that. I kinda think the writers just wanted to pair people up in the end. Except Giles. You know, he really should have gotten a partner that wasn't some hookup like S4, Joyce in Band Candy, or Jenny S1.

I wonder if he'll be a part of the reboot or if he's currently homeless or whatevers going on with him.

There are some rough allegations against Brendon that go well beyond having substance abuse issues, IIRC, so I cannot imagine he would be part of the reboot.

I can recommend him in the Amazon Prime movie "Coherence". Its a good sci fi/horror B movie.

Coherence is a LOT of fun. Brendon does pretty okay in it. Everybody does pretty okay in it. Coherence, The Man from Earth, and The Vast of Night all occupy sort of the same space in my brain and I'll happily sit down to watch any of 'em once or twice a year.

I've watched so many bad Amazon movies. Have you seen "The Knights of Badassdom"?

For real though the whole Darla arc on Angel culminating in the birth of Connor in that rainy alley is such incredibly awesome TV.

Darla for Connor is like the worst character trade in the history of TV though. Why did she have to die for him...
