I mean, I still think it’s the best option for speaking in, and at twenty dollars for a pack of five, it’s a steal, but I don’t see it appealing to a great group of people for whom a 3M EHMR is “too much”.

My nephew is coming to visit the grandparents. The nephew with 3 heart surgeries under their belt by 10. Can't live at above 6k without oxygen assistance. Summer trip has been agreed upon by all parties. They've already had it once. I don't know what's okay anymore. I've always figured myself the dumb one of the family. The bank accounts and lifestyles don't lie. Am I loving up?

My ICU nurse friend has had covid twice now. Off for a month long, international tour because they missed their honeymoon due to travel restrictions. First case in Dec 2020, visiting parents who they trusted. Second in Dec 2021, another travel related incident.

They're great at their job. Opinions I would trust, just because of how long I've known them and their thought process. But I can't talk about it in the group chat. It gets to be infuriating. So I just send memes and dumb tiktoks while I'm high.

Has everything broken? Has sense been lost in the face of mortality? People swearing up and down they're not jumping at the shadows cast by their own future graves?

The collapse can't come soon enough.

But does that make me the nutjob waving a sign on the corner?

My real justification is I want to see the end. Real Cake poo poo. I don't get up before it's loving time. Which seems right. Even in the face of Stoicism. To bear witnessn to the ultimate suffering. I've had a few people close to me die. But not like this.

I had a thought which I relayed to my father at the start of the Ukraine-Russian war. Sure. Everyone is cheering behind the Zelenskyy's. But what's going to happen when you see his corpse, the corpses of his families, on global television?

What happens?

At some point we give. None of us will see the future. Your children will probably bear witness to atrocities that we had not thought possible. If they make it that far.


My theory has always held that humans are so much luckier than every other animal. Every animal meets the end of their life in fear, save the precious, domesticated few.

Going from a KN95 to a Secure Click and a Full Face is a massive increase in comfort. I can run 10k+ in elastomerics, I cannot run that with the KN95, it just doesn't purge CO2 fast enough. I can sleep with elastomerics on, which irritates my skin but is otherwise fine, I'll struggle to get into a good sleeping rhythm with the KN95.

Like legitimately the big way in which an elasto is an upgrade is in comfort and convenience.
