Huh. I didn’t realize Apple TV+ has their own broadcast team for these baseball games. I assumed they were just going to essentially rebroadcast MLB Network’s (or RSN) feed similar to what Amazon does with Thursday Night Football.

The Apple telecasts are produced in conjunction with MLB Network, and they said they'll announce the broadcast teams on a week-by-week basis, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that more MLB Network personalities will appear.

I've mentioned this, but in Dubuque, Iowa, the Cubs, White Sox, Brewers, Twins, Royals and Cardinals all consider Dubuque a local market, so their games are blacked out on MLB.tv. So unless I'm dying to watch some Orioles games, there's no reason for me to get an MLB.tv sub.

Dyersville is 20-25 minutes outside of Dubuque, and Dubuque has a ton of great things to see and do, between the parks, the casinos, the live music scene, the restaurants and the museums.

I love how mcmagic thinks the Commissioner's Trophy (or, wait, a piece of metal, per Manfred) is, like, the Yankees' divine right of kings or some poo poo.

Even though, 20 years ago, the Yankees' payroll was like $125 million. Today, it's $250-something million. So even the 2002 payroll, with inflation, would come out to $205 million. So it's not the same as it was 20 years ago.
