In the main mode, Turf Wars, you attempt to ink the most turf to win, using a variety of fun, colorful weapons. There are ranked modes as well, but none of have been confirmed for Splatoon 3.  The single player mode, called Hero Mode, has so far been a series of platformer stages spread across multiple areas, each with their own boss battle. Splatoon 3's version seems to be adding a Mario Sunshine-esque clean up mechanic, where you use your salmonid friend, Lil' Buddy, to remove harmful ink that will mammalify any inkling/octoling that touches them. The co-op mode is called Salmon Run. You and three friends take the role of part time employees at GrizzCo, where you will ambush humanoid salmon in their homes in order to steal their eggs to be used as an alternate energy source. There is a lot of gear, so gently caress around and come up with a cool look. So no cases like, Brella is available in Hero mode, but not multiplayer until it's officially released. Or having to wait months to be able to use the Hydra Splatling or Bamboozler.

I doubt they'll do it, but I hope they somehow decouple the fashion from abilities, either by making them two separate things or by creating a process where you can change the main ability for a piece of gear.
