Is this the best move for Twitter’s shareholders? No, they might want to sue that the company didn’t shop themselves around. That said, after witnessing Tumblr shift dramatically when it was acquired by Verizon, it’s probably better for some Twitter users that Musk buy Twitter than Microsoft or Google. It’s pretty much the last blogging platform left that isn’t restricting porn. Sky falling? Maybe. Possibly not.

I miss already vanguard group, morgan stanley, and blackrock inc the previous major shareholders. Not only did these fine capitalist companies care deeply about this horrid platform our country determines to use to solve it's problems, but they also donated heavily to our current president who is doing a great job!

I'd vastly prefer heartless investment banks who care only about financial data (and the management bonus) over a one man empire builder who wishes he was an oligarch. It's people who want political power incidentally so they can strip regulation vs person who wants political power so he can treat the world as his toy
