I love that there's a lot more interest in the WNBA, but I hate 30% of the fans that have joined because they've co-opted Caitlin Clark as a vehicle for their racist bullshit. I started off as an OG WNBA fan. I lived in Houston in 1997 when the inaugural season kicked off and I attended a lot of their games. I saw Cynthia Cooper, Sheryl Swoopes, and Tina Thompson absolutely dominate the rest of the WNBA under Van Chancellor's coaching. I cheered for Kim Perrot and mourned her passing. I now live in Iowa in West Des Moines, Caitlin Clark's hometown. My youngest daughter went to Dowling Catholic a couple of years before Caitlin Clark did. The story of Caitlin Clark's success in college and now in the WNBA has been co-opted by regressives who want to use Caitlin as a pawn in their arguments about how Caitlin is mistreated because of race to further their agenda about how white people are akshully being mistreated.

the WNBA website is absolutely terrible. I was unable to watch my Connecticut Sun last night but scrolling through the WNBA front page there's exactly zero indication of last night's result. the biggest player to ever happen to the league gets eliminated from rookie playoff contention and I had to check the bracket on the playoff hub before learning it happened.

Yeah I don't think Spoon is irreplaceable as a coach but if you're going to fire her after one year the players better be in open revolt and that doesn't seem like it was the case. Hard to hold her responsible for how bad the offense/bench was when the roster itself was deeply deeply flawed Also feel like this is a precursor to not bringing back Chennedy which would make me even angrier

sick rear end game. in the first quarter there were an uncharacteristic amount of miscommunications (passing into an empty lane, kick balls, picks going the wrong way) but the squad just clicked heading into halftime and never let aces get their perimeter shooting going. 2 more like that to wipe away last year.
