to be fair, pure copper is a really sticky material that is no fun to machine. you need a super sharp tool and good coolant and a pretty aggressive feed. he definitely doesn't have two of those.

he could be taking a way bigger bite with both those tools but it's a cnc router, not a mill, so it may not be rigid enough to keep up a good feed. chip load looks pretty low. at least the chips are square i guess??

no excuse for not having an air blast or vacuum at the cut though

I operated a cnc router for 6 years and funnily enough none of us were ever taught anything about feed speeds, I just learned over time what speeds worked in what materials with what size tools. I would have visibility winced if I cut like that lmao
