did you mean pagemaker? after they absorbed aldus

oh, maybe? it's been so long. I trained up on quark just in time for indesign to start to gain ground, so I tried to quickly dump as much of it out of my brain as possible and what's left is a mix of memories. he had more experience back in the aldus days, so i'm probably mixing them up more

Jonny 290 posted:

thats an incredibly dumb take unless you have a suggestion for a replacement for the layer paradigm. im all ears.

pixelmator and affinity photo have non-destructive/image layers that differ from raster layers, but I feel like I'm either stuck in the ps raster layer past or the workflows just aren't as intuitive

I just want a pay-once, performant photoshop, adobe. do it, you cowards

the awful app integration usually fucks up because imgur can't convert heic or whatever

lol i didn't know that was still a thing so i'll check it out

but i guess that means they have some sort of API or just a rudimentary POST thing or whatever so it should be shortcut-able?

i suppose i'll investigate it later, if i end up making a shortcut i'll post it

if you have the imgur app it'll add shortcut hooks you can use to make a flow and it'll offer some configuration to add to account or not etc.

i feel the same way for light use sites, sa being a big exception

the only reason i tried it was imgur's new owners added page load breaking trackers when mixed with my pi-hole, but the app still works

gonna shame myself here by saying my wife bought little booties for our eggman

to be fair though he's extremely cat-like and hates hates hates getting wet and brooklyn streets when it's raining (or just after) are loving gross

if they got the paws for it, they're handy. we tried those when our dog had a healing wound and they slipped right off because they have slimmer digging paws

for cold, gross weather we use those rubber booties that look like someone put balloons on dog feet. they're small and red and i always joke it looks like they're going ten rounds in the ring, but the pup loves them in winter
