I dug this up for the #blessed thread but it's a great moving image of someone jury rigging a studio for live streams in a hurry. The shaking-camera setup in particular is an incredible feat of fuckery: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFUwuqjMlfc

Sailing on the Baltic sea around the Danish isles is pretty cool actually. You spend a few hours at sea on your way to the harbour, stay there until you want to move on, you plot your next route in the evening and by morning sail away to the next harbour. You do that until your vacation is half over, and plot a string of single-day trips until you're back home. Marstal is pretty. Strynø is so small you can go on a walk to circumnavigate the entire island, and the same is true for a lot of the other islands like Bjarnø and Lyø. What I would never recommend is trying something idiotic like Sassnitz -> Bornholm. Just utter misery even with favourable wind and weather. Sailing through 6 Bft wind with proper gear and letting the wind blow the dust out of your skull is a great experience, there's just something about being between the waves that makes you forget about "multiple inheritance" and "constructors" and "containers" and other irrelevant garbage. It's just too bad that boat maintenance is a ridiculous drain and a massive pain in the rear end. Antigravitas fucked around with this message at 17:46 on Sep 18, 2022 |

That demo was indeed released this year. The new "mode" is done by drawing a line that doesn't fit the width of the screen, causing the beam to draw even on its way back. Since it's faster, the green is darker (but characters are wider).

MyPaint actually mixes colours like you'd expect. I just smudged some blue into yellow and it turned green. Talk about it dates back quite a few years and as far as I can tell was merged in '19 https://community.mypaint.org/t/real-color-blending-wip/390

If you're doing digital painting a lot of effort already goes into making oil painting or water painting look like the real thing. Like, Krita is absolutely trying to emulate the real thing, and it's common to mix your colours on the canvas. Having detailed brush emulation, but then not having paint mix like you'd expect it on physical canvas, is a bit weird.
