I've thought really strongly about switching to Shane Lowry but apparently he doesn't play that well at longer courses, and Southern Hills is going to play 7556 yds at par 70 this year. He's #4 in SG Approach which is great, but it's hard to know how that will hold up if he's taking mid irons into greens. SG Around The Green is really bad but SG Putting is really good, which is the opposite of last season. :psyduck: Apparently the greenside bunkers will play a big role this week, and both Lowry and Xander are in the top 4 for that stat.

Lowry is totally going to win the pool. :v:

Is it because he bailed on the masters with injury?

I’d like to think the increase in these threads wagers is tied to the terribly annoying betting sites tied to every major sports event broadcast now

What do you guys think about, starting with the next major, of adjusting the payout so that if the pool is 12+ people, the second place finisher(s) gets their money back i.e. doesn’t have to pay the winner? Winner would still get at least 10x :20bux: in that case. I just get a little uncomfortable when the pool gets to be this large, which admittedly has only happened once before, the 2021 Masters. Though if there’s only 1 runner up, it’s not doing a ton to mitigate the pool size. Could also make for interesting leaderboard watching for 2nd vs 3rd place.

Honestly it’s you doing the work, I don’t mind it how it is but that sounds interesting. I’m just happy to have a reason to pay attention to golf. Would be cool, imo, to donate 25% to first swing charity or something?

Hell I'm just happy to see this grow. There's a bunch of new names here since I started. It sounds really strange to say, but COVID is the best thing to happen to golf since Tiger.

If you have a Disney+ subscription, I believe you also get ESPN+, in which case coverage is live and the Tiger/Rory/Spieth group is about to tee off: https://www.espn.com/espnplus/player/_/id/a5804a95-139a-4a7f-9b27-492aad671130

I love featured groups because the commentators, assuming they don't suck, technically break down all the shots and I am here for that.

Tiger wedges it to 3 feet on hole 1.

Why oh why didn't I pick him when he won here in 2007? :negative:

Because we don't know how he'll hold up through 72 holes
