Clowns, and circus/funhouse stuff in general, creeps me out intensely. I don't think I've ever had a traumatic experience at the circus, I can't explain it, I just get this acute disquieting sensation that borders on physical sickness when people show me clown stuff.

How about most frightening of clowns, clown ministry clowns. After you see one of these people, the next time you see a clown the question enters your head: am I going to be delighted by rather athletic physical humor, or will this just be a couple minutes of tepid juggling before the evangelical hard-sell? More frightening than anything Stephen King ever wrote.
