Lol that people need an engine mp3 sound playing in the cabin to make the car feel more powerful, so their car can make "vroom vroom" sounds like some sort of toy car for toddlers

mystes posted:Lol that people need an engine mp3 sound playing in the cabin to make the car feel more powerful I blame chevrolet/buick/GM. when GM figured out that the japanese were onto something with small turbocharged inline-4s they had to stop making 5-litre V8 sedans but 2-litre DOHC I4s with more power than ancient pushrod V8s didn't sound powerful enough for all-american masculine proud boys so they had to add in fake engine noise to compensate. now it's just kind of accepted
