cjs: new team lead hyper focusing on helpdesk tickets and how many are open/pending. has now said he wants someone on the team to hand out tickets which is a bunch of BS. time to push back on this hard. we're not loving children and it's never been an issue with us picking up our own tickets when we want.

yeah! we've told him multiple times, tickets are pending cause academics are busy and not always available. so we can't just close something after a few days. he just learned about our ticketing system and is hyper fixated on that poo poo. i feel bad cause the guy who was here previously took off (that's a whole other story, new manager hired last year was just ruining his life) so he couldn't learn about the role and what to do. but gently caress man, it's not this micro managing poo poo. our team is already discussing sending a note to our manager and even the union rep.

i secretly learned they were the 6th option since the first batch got another job as our manager was on vacation after they sent the job posting, one other guy declined so they were advised mark it as a failed find and repost - nope, just loving lazy sorry to rant c life s: brother and his coworker came by with a skidsteer and graded my entire back yard for 2 x 24's of coors banquet and some smokies for lunch. one neighbor was like, "can they do mine PLEASE?" and im real bad at saying no but i had to insist this was a special favor to me. plus they are an asphalt company - the guy just knows how to do this stuff too. this isn't their business but a little special perk for helping out friends. i got to ride around in the thing too - it was 30C but thankfully these things have AC and radio, was fun times in that box.
