The past few pages demonstrate the point of my meta-gimmick better than I ever could.

I'm an emotional mess who can't stop being annoying, getting wildly caught up in doubling down on points everyone else finds irrelevant, being wrong a lot and loudly, being boring as hell more often than not, and melting down constantly. It took me a lot of work and self-reflection to be this way.

Because I used to just suppress the misery and concentrate on working, waiting for a better day when I could do what I wanted to do. Except I'm now too disabled to work, and that better day is never coming. It's not that I can't shut up and be stoic. It's that it was turning my life into endless monotony filled with interchangeable days of vague misery where I couldn't allow myself to feel anything.

new gig has a shocking level of flexibility, considering it's the central it division of one of the 20 largest universities in the us
so far:
* new manager gave a $2k budget for hardware and asked what I wanted
* account onboarding flow allows users to choose between gapps and office365

I come from way smaller orgs but am accustom to these decisions being made further up the org chart.

some of the shady piracy services available these days are downright amazing. I use one that lets me upload .torrent files or paste in magnet links, and it spits out an https link for me to download the file once it's done. unless it's something obscure there is generally no wait and I can start the http download as soon as I've submitted the torrent file or magnet. even better, you can register the site as a handler for magnet urls, so most of my pirating is just clicking a magnet link, then clicking an http link on the page that pops up

depends on what formats you intend to store your media in, and what formats the clients are going to use. if everything matches up and you don't need to transcode, then something low end will likely do. at the other end of the spectrum, if you need to transcode 5 streams, you're going to want something that can hold a gpu
