Barbarian was quite good and very diligent about exploring its subtext, although you do need to have a strong stomach for horror films and related unpleasantness. |

Leraika posted:did you like it? it's one of my favorites. yes, it's made me contemplate a lot of things sometimes I talk to old departed friends in my dreams and it's such a comforting feeling, but waking up and having that memory of a conversation, so strong and almost tanglible, disappear like a mist as your mind becomes more alert, is gut wrenching and funny enough, the more you try to grasp and retain it, the quicker it leaves... for me, it's better to savor it and try to retain just the salient points and just hope I get to experience it again (I won't) |

I read that apparently the plot structure is not unfamiliar with his other things and it's again very metaphorical and strong in pictures and stuff. It tackles a lot of heavy topics, but mainly it focuses on dealing with losing loved ones and mourning even in traumatic circumstances, embedded in a nice, although not entirely explained fantasy story. I liked the fantasy part of it as much as the emotional style it's written in and the visuals are woah and the topics are very intense and important I think, but that may not be everyone's opinion. Critics and audiences like it though based on pure numbers and I do, too! https://i.imgur.com/7kYZb2w.mp4 |

I watched the Saint fix-up film The Fiction-Makers on tubi last night and it was pretty entertaining. Roger Moore and Sylvia Syms were both great as was the villian (whose name escapes me atm) who hammed it up like crazy. Super campy and with some plot holes but the movie doesn't really take itself seriously anyways. It was a fun little caper film. Also holy poo poo I love the intro theme https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rO8P1U6uMls

it’s messy and flawed and i can understand the backlash from people who just wanted more of the same from season 1. but taken as it’s own thing i found it incredible. what can i say i’m a slut for characters doomed by the narrative trying to achieve some sort of redemption

Tonight I'm watching Indiana Jones with 13 billion years old Harrison Ford made young again for a portion of the movie He came to a German political talk show a few days ago and talked about German politics which he knows weirdly lots about, and he also mentioned how much fun it was to be so bloody young again, he felt like he's barely 70!! Hope it's a fun movie, he deserves a fun movie https://i.imgur.com/7kYZb2w.mp4 |
