Luckily, I *did* save your old avatar. Fucked around and found out indeed.

I gotta watch that again at some point, it's great

i watched mickey's christmas carol and also the muppet christmas carol. goddamn the muppet christmas carol is so good. every year it's just as good as the last. the casting, the songs, everything is perfect. mickey's is ok, alan young does a great job with scrooge's voice. it's a lil too condensed tho, especially after the lush and full experience of the muppets

this (muppet christmas carol) I watch every year with family or friends and it's just so warm and pleasant. the second the calendar tips over into december the refrain for it feels like christmas just plays on endless repeat in my brain

I watched the new Frankenstein. I was expecting a true retelling (I don't learn), so I initially hated it. But it started to grow on me. The visuals were really fun.

I watched Blood And Steel (1990) the other night. So much of it seems like it was written, directed and choreographed by 10 year old boys.

i love muppet christmas carol and watch it at least 3 times every december. it is both the best christmas movie and the best muppet movie.

Saw the Mastermind, really good movie, slow and funny

just saw this, it was really good. lots of long static camera shots of action happening off screen, but in a good way. the cinematography, soundtrack, and mild and subdued mood really elevates this beyond just a heist movie. barely anyone even raises their voice. it reminded me of breaking bad in a small way, just the tension and how Everything can go wrong and you have to just live with it

kinda also reminded me of killing them softly, with brad pitt. that's the kinda stakes we're playing

i really love the soudtrack too and how prominent it is

i especially love the drum hits sounding like someone pounding on the door during tense moments, the way the tambourine shakes to indicate coins being shuffled in a hand, just the soundtrack is masterful

what a film. one of my tip top favourites in recent memory.

it was, I've heard, originally supposed to just be a promotional video or short documentary for toilets, but the director ran away with it a bit.

No, I like my hat, thanks.
Little Women - Netflix had it under Christmas movies. It was a decent adaptation, but felt really hurried moving from plot point to plot point. Plenty of star power. Winona Ryder's Jo comes across as more manic than assertive, but still good. However nothing says Christmas like

the best part were the supposedly authentic period songs.
