The pacing sucked, the second half came on so suddenly I legit thought it was a preview for the next film and spent 5 minutes waiting for the credits. So many slow-mo scenes of people staring at each other, so much mumbling.

I liked the black and white bit, the shots of the nuns were very reminiscent of early film, and that part was much more in the style of what this film wished it was, if it wasn't restrained by being what it was.

I dont think it's a book you can really make a good film out of.

Gonna try the David Lynch one next.

I thought it was much more visually interesting than the newer one. I hadn't noticed how much the modern version tried to make absolutely everyone hot and jacked, and even tech which shouldn't be, shiny and chrome. Pacing was still whack. It's interesting who the different films put as their main focus.

That said, it felt like I'd been assigned Dune for a class and this was the cliffnotes version.

Also I slept through the final 5th, so I guess I have to go back to that.
