gently caress it, I'm gonna be blunt and not shitpost this out: It's not that we don't believe your heart is in the right place andro, at least for me, but actions aren't matching words and that's not your fault imo. You are trying to fix things and hold out while a broken system is still broken with a "maybe" it can be fixed at best if we reach hard. The issues and people still exist, look at the posting, look at local, look at all the garbage takes and excuses that permeate the org. This is an issue that was supposed to have been solved, and now has been blatantly proven false. The good will is gone, the trust is gone. I don't know you irl, but here's my experience from both as a loving parent of a kid belonging to a marginalized group outside of game and investigator/rehabilitator and that's just the big reasons and experience on my end without going into more detail of poo poo I've dealt with. We've seen this poo poo before, over and over again. In life which the goddamned game and structures mirror. This whole thing matches what has and continues to persist the world over. "We changed, we got rid of personnel, we are fixing just give us time" over and over again. Fast forward (or sometimes don't) and said people are still involved, backroom deals and convos come to light, then the mask comes off again and in public giving even more shitters platform and hubris to act as such because that what makes it spin all over again and we start back at 1. The reason this is what it is now is from expertise and experiences of those on the receiving end being mocked and downplayed while the powers that be act like it's then catering to people just asking for a modicum of respect. All of a sudden it's a big deal we all blow the gently caress up because enough is enough, and now we're asked to be civil to the structure that started, continued and continues to take a poo poo on the situation. So we have to be peaceful and not rock the boat because it's inconvenient and gives others the courage to bring their issues to light? Because enough of us don't give a gently caress about anything anymore except things getting so out of hand that scorched earth and being silenced one by one on gf and in game but luckily can't be here. There was half a second I thought yeah we can fix this and hell I'll even volunteer to be HR for this, and thank gently caress the whole rotten core started to surface harder. Enough people have grown over the years and had the unfortunate realizations that so much hasn't changed and it still drags everyone down while continuing to reward those in power. When you have middle aged people saying "we are better than this and it's not the yesteryear of the culture" that's a huge goddamn artillery flare. I'm done with this specific post, and the fact that this much effort continues to be necessary is sad at best.

To not ragepost for a sec: While I can understand the need for a succinct policy, which that fits, it's also one that could've been copy pasted and then slightly modified to match the audience. How that took days to do is beyond me. The fact that there continues to be posting about god emperor mittens doing nothing wrong and yet another chance to put out a sincere statement and apology being wasted is damning. I'd be lying if I said I expected better at this point, but I'm not thrilled to be right like the rest of the people itt. There's no point in anyone asking how it could have gone better, or how to make it better from today. All that has been said already and what help that was attempted to be given was largely scoffed at for being woke or asking too much somehow. The amount of time spent to get here today is embarrassing, especially for a group that took pride in being multi-faceted and a smooth running machine thanks to diverse membership.

It really shouldn't have been an issue at all because he still would've got his dread or just wasn't going to be the first one built lmao and that blew up the convo too. A little later on while scouting we accidentally rolled into hard knocks home hole and didn't realize it until we scanned down and warped to their pos. Pants were shat and in the time we spent trying to figure out a plan to gtfo knocks had control over the exit (which we warped to and got caught in) and while scrambling to get clear they merked the only one of us with probes fit (we were dumb) and closed the only hole we had scanned down. Those that didn't get blapped/make it out/self-destruct stayed cloaked up. One or two tried to beg and bargain their way out but since someone shot the structure that was off the table and the safe passage for the one guy that thought he'd made a good case to leave safely dropped cloak for his "escort out" and got obliterated, but they left the pod and laughed. It was amazingly funny. After a good bit of ribbing from knocks the few of us in there either logged off or self-destructed out. I think I spent a couple weeks logging in, cloaking up, and seeing if our rescue attempt guys had found a chain to us yet. They did, twice. The first time they got caught and they exploded hilariously. The second time the got the two of us that stayed in there out. Goddamn I miss wh bullshit. We were really bad and it was still some of the most fun anyway.

Yeah no, I would say I'm gonna miss the comradery but since the SA portions have moved on and consolidated elsewhere that will be the same. It's sad that a group that has such wonderful tools and infrastructure is being left behind, but only for those things and what it could've been if some humanity and oversight was applied. Moving my poo poo will be fun at least, and then going wherever SA goons go. gently caress I want to go back to j space or maybe I'll drop a poo poo alt in pochven and leave another in 1dq just to fly in circles. Y'all make this poo poo game worth logging into discord and shooting the poo poo.
