i'm officially weekending today. coffee, tea, maybe a yuenyang later today. hammock until it gets too hot then probably make the mistake of doing some outdoor gardening or something equally foolish need to allot some time for exam studying though. maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow..

Been a while since I built a computer from scratch, if I don't have a cooler for the processor yet, can I power the thing on for a sec to make sure it POSTs as opposed to releasing the magic smoke due to a case connector short or some other dumb poo poo, or does the processor heat up quickly enough that's still a bad idea?

c saturday s: our 10th anniversary is this month so mrs. logins wanted to buy me a bike since mini logins is learning to ride. bike: bought (genesis trafik 5, 24 speed, 22" frame). it's been probably 25 years since last i rode one took it for a spin on the trail near the house, managed to get my shoelaces caught and have the chain slip. just like when i was a kid. still, a fun 30 min ride, looking forward to next time. just need to buy a helmet and a lock
