Heavy Metal was an animated anthology movie released in 1981. A collection of stories intertwined by the mystical LOC-NAR, an object/being of pure evil, malice, corruption, and violence, sometimes worshipped, often sought after, there are many tales of the Loc-Nar's evil presence and those who covet it. But this isn't about that.

This game, will be about the SOUNDTRACK to Heavy Metal! Roles will mostly be tied to each of the tracks that accompany the film. They won't necessarily have anything to do with alignment or role. Some may have something to do with the film. Don't overthink it.

This game is set up for 16 players, but can be whittled down if needed.

This game I would say is Non-Standard, but IS new player friendly. The game will not lie, so no death millers or anything silly like that. Try not to focus too much on game mechanics and alignments.

quickie rules

Day period will last 48-72 hours, time is arbitrary but will be posted at start of day. Nights will have a 24 hour deadline but night phase may end early when all night actions are in. Think of it as a soft 18-24 hour deadline. Try not to game it, I end it when I get to it.
Standard mafia rules apply, don't fake day actions, don't edit your posts, if you're dead don't post in the thread anymore.
Anti-Lurker Rule: If you make less than 10 posts in a game-day that lasts longer than 24 hours, you will be issued a warning. If you do it again, the LOC-NAR will kill you dead hurting whatever side you were on.
Don't copy/paste your role pm. Paraphrase if you have to. Copy and paste, copy and DIE.
Hammer Rule: When there is a hammer and someone has received enough votes for elimination, the game will go to a twilight phase until I can get to the thread to close it. If you were the one voted, stop posting. Other players can still post freely but no game actions can occur during the twilight period.
Weird stuff might happen. Roll with it.

Discord is required to play as it will be where you receive your role PM and where you will perform your actions.
