got back from my beach vacation yesterday, now i’m having the lazy post-vacation weekend where i don’t do anything. i think i managed to not get burned (thanks sunscreen, rash guards, and big hats) but i got bodied by mosquitoes when i tried to go birding. about a dozen bites in like 5 minutes before i ran back to the car.

I took the kids to a park I noticed nearby, but we had to leave because everything was way too big for them and I didn’t want my eldest to yeet herself off the third story tower while trying to be brave and climb the ladder up, while also making sure my 2yo didn’t also die went to a younger playground instead but then the sun came out in force and they burned their butts on the slide and wanted to go home and ride bikes instead now they’re having a nap and I think I’ll follow suit
